Classes are 5 hours long at a cost of $75.00 and include a handbook, certificate and wallet card. You must register online or use or contact form and let us know you are coming to assure a hard copy of your certificate. Walk ins will receive a .pdf version after the completion of their class. Handbooks are guaranteed for registered students only. Snacks are offered during class. A portion of your class funds are donated towards the Emma Zen Foundation, a pet safety nonprofit organization.
We will be covering topics such as:
Head to tail check ups, muzzling and safe approach, how to check vitals (pet's pulse, respiration, temperature, capillary refill time and hydration),bandaging and splinting, rescue breathing and CPR and what to for: bloat, burns, choking, constipation, diarrhea, drowning, electric shock, frostbite, heat stroke, insect stings, poisoning, seizures, shock and snake bites. We will also discuss the items in a first aid kit and its use. Disaster preparedness and more....
Classes taught by lecture, demonstration and hands-on skills practice using stuffed animals as well as canine and feline CPR mannequins. Although we love 'em, please leave your pets at home creating a better environment for you to learn.
REFUND POLICY: A portion of your class will benefits pet oxygen masks for fire fighters through the Emma Zen Foundation therefore refunds will only be issued with 72 hours advance written notice of class time to maximize funds raised. If you contact later, your class fee will be credited towards the next class you are available to attend within the next 6 month period one day after six months the entire payment will be donated to the Emma Zen Foundation because your pets safety is as important as yours!

Your class includes a class manual and certification of completion in Pet First Aid & CPR. You will learn through lecture, slideshow and hands on practice, which includes time on resuscitation dog manikins. A light snack is offered at break to get your juices flowing again while we discuss topics from emergency preparedness, first aid, prevention topics and an A to Z look at what will become your new guide for pet first aid references. This class is full of information that should take 2 days and we are offering it in a 5 hour session for $75.00.
