In our "Before" the Emergency seminar we touch subjects such as: How to cope with emergency situations.
Preventing disease. Getting to know your pets vitals! pulse, respiration, temperature, capillary refill time and hydration. Health Considers including Dental Care. Pet Safety, Emergency Preparedness.Training techniques that can save your pets lives and much more.
In our "After" the Emergency we discuss other information like: What goes in a Pet First Aid Kit? How to use those items for situations like; Bleeding, Bites, Poisonings, Burns and Bandaging. Learn how to handle a choking pet. Learn how to perform CPR on dogs & cats. Much more! Ask and Answer! Addressing your specific concerns.
Classes taught by lecture, demonstration and hands-on skills practice using stuffed animals as well as canine and feline CPR mannequins. We love your pets but we ask that you leave them at home, this allows us a distraction free learning environment. If you can not leave your pet at home, please call Sheri at Your Animals Best Friend, where class is being held so she can help you make arrangements for daycare.

I grew up in a barn, literally. Horses, cows, donkeys, goats, chickens, rabbits, ducks, birds, dogs, cats, lizard, tortoises, etc. The etc is for all the stray's I brought home. Much of my experience as been hands on for most of my life. In 2007 I became certified in Pet First Aid as an instructor.
In 2010 I founded and am still President of the Emma Zen Foundation a 501
c 3 which focuses on pet safety. We raise funds for Pet Oxygen Masks kits, Pet First Aid Kits and Pet Safety Tags and donate them to specific demo-graphics.
